This photograph was taken in Curitiba, Brazil, a few years ago. Multiple windows separate the street from an inside “patio” where children were playing. Each window reflects a separate portion of reality- it’s transparent enough to see the children on the other side – and at the same time acting as a mirror, reflecting parts of the street.
The result is a living mosaic, a living puzzle. But despite this ‘mosaic’ feel, the reality is one. We just don’t see it this way.
We should remember this when we relate to other people: as different as we seem to be from one another- Humanity is One.
